Meet Kasia!

Your background?
I have a degree from Brock University in Arts and Culture, I am a trained teacher, receiving my PGDE from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland (an amazing year!) and I have been teaching art to children of all ages since high school.

Why 4Cats?
Kids and art making are such a natural combination, and 4Cats helps kids to learn about real artists and famous art work while having fun and trying out new media, from the pottery wheel to stop motion animation to paint splattering, Pollock-style. Its an amazing dynamic that allows each and every child that walks through the door to be an artist!

What is your favourite colour?
Its hard to pick just one! Right now, its a tie between turquoise, cerulean blue, and lime green.

Favourite art quote?
‘Creativity takes courage.’ – Henri Matisse

Who is your favourite artist and why?
Gustav Klimt, hands down. The colours, the textures and the gold – gorgeous!

What is your favourite medium?
Clay, definitely. I’ve always been a sculpture-kind-of-girl.

So…any other interesting facts we should know about you?
I have a silly little dog named Gus, a love of anything art nouveau or art deco, and a wonderful family!
